Brier Creek Steel Framed Deck

Performed structural engineering design and detail drawings for exterior cold-formed steel deck with a concrete top. This unique project allowed FDR to design a solid outdoor space with open viewing of the 18th hole, but it also included the design of a weatherproof living area underneath the deck complete with a gas burning outdoor fireplace. The steel framing while weather, pest, rot, and fire resistant was encased in brick to aesthetically match the home design. This deck was designed to be maintenance free with concrete topping outdoor tile for cool outdoor comfort.
